It is our wish that your shopping experience online be as enjoyable as an afternoon in the shop. We are working to bring as much inventory to our online customers as possible. Privacy Policy
Spirit Work knitting & designs takes your privacy seriously. We do not share, exchange, loan or sell your personal information. All of the information we obtain is used to process your order only. We also do not store credit card information in our database.
Secure On-line Shopping
All payments are processed online are done so as a secure transaction. Payments are processed through a secure server using industry standard SSL encryption.
Accepted forms of payment
We accept MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover card.
While completing your order, you will be asked to register to make future orders easier. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is packed and ready to be shipped.
Sales Tax & Pricing
New York State residents will pay 4% sales tax on yarn purchases and 8% sale tax on all other purchases. Out of State orders are not subject to sales tax. All prices listed are US currency.
Shipping
All in-stock orders are shipped within 48 hours. Our shipping carrier is US Postal Service. (Continental US). We offer FREE UPS Ground shipping on any order of $100 or more. (this applies only to Continental US customers)

Orders shipped are in transit 2-5 days depending on destination, excluding weekends and holidays.
If you prefer 2 day shipping, this rate option will appear at checkout.
Return Policy
Our apologies, but the following items are not returnable: sale items, needles, notions, books, patterns, kits, and opened yarn are not returnable.
Please note: We charge a 10% restocking fee on all returns.
We also do not refund shipping charges incurred.
To process a return, Spirit Work knitting & designs must be notified by e-mail at knit@spiritwork.com regarding any returns within 10 days of receipt of order. We will authorize the return and provide you with a "return merchandise approval code". All returns must have this authorization and approval code.
Customer is responsible for returning merchandise at their own expense.
Preparing your package for return:
Box up the merchandise in the original packaging, please include:
- Include a copy of your invoice and your phone number.
- Your name and address as well as a contact phone number and/or email address
- Provide the return merchandise approval code.
We recommend that you ship your return using UPS, Federal Express, DHL or other courier that offers a tracking number. All return packages must be insured for the purchase amount.
COD packages will not be accepted

We want you to love your purchase. If you are uncertain about a product or color, contact us prior to making an online purchase. We can give you some advice, help or direction that may make all the difference in the world.
Color Accuracy
While we work very hard to ensure we provide you with the highest quality images and color accuracy, we can not gurantee how images will appear on your computer. Variations in monitors and systems will impact color accuracy.
What to Expect Once you have placed an Order
You will receive an e-mail message confirming your order, and then another e-mail message notifying you that we have shipped your package with your shipping information.
All in stock orders are packaged for shipping within 48 hours of receipt of order.
Back Orders or Out of Stock Items
Once in a while something may be out of stock, or on back order. If you have placed an order for merchandise that is not on hand, we will notify you directly and provide details on delivery timeframes, offer some possible substitutes and discuss options.
