Half-gloves are densely-knit and closely fitted, and have short, open-ended fingers. They will help keep your hands warm, but still let you feel things with your own fingers. These are a nice way to learn shaping in plain stockinette.  The fingers could be made longer if you prefer to keep going and make regular gloves.

Since one size does not always fit all, class material will cover measuring and fitting so that you can make the half-gloves to fit whatever the shape of the hand and fingers, such as a broad hand with short fingers, or a slender hand with long fingers. Also included is how to avoid holes at the base of the thumb and fingers.

Class Dates / Time:  

Session I: Thurs, 9/30/10, 10/14/10, 10/28/10.  6:30 pm  to  8:30 pm.
Session II:  Sun, 11/7/10, 11/21/10, 12/5/10.   2:00 pm  to  4 pm.

Class Fee:  $30.00.  Materials are an additional charge.  Supply list will be available before the 1st class.

Skill level:  Intermediate. Must have completed at least one pair of mittens made on double-pointed needles.
