Top Down Saddle-Shoulder Aran Sweater SKU:
Jeanne & Jeannine team up to teach an aran cardigan or pullover from the neck down.
The sweater can be made seamlessley for minimal finishing, and will feature saddle-shoulder sleeves with a continuous cable pattern from the top of the shoulder down to the wrist.
This class is for ambitious or high intermediate skill levels. Experience with cables and experience knitting sweaters helpful. It will be helpful to have knit an aran sweater before. Students should know how to read their knitting.
Over the term of the class, students will receive a comprehensive handout on the design and construction of a top-down, saddle shoulder Aran sweater, including a variety of stitch patterns so that another sweater can be made with all of the different stitch combinations.
Class material will include measuring to fit, personalizing a schematic, choosing stitch patterns, swatching, planning the stitch layout, construction and finishing techniques, identifying and correcting mistakes.
Homework before all classes.
