| Simple Two Color Mittens SKU: 4975 This class is an easy introduction to two-color knitting by making a mitten in the easiest of two-color patterns: 1 light stitch/1 dark stitch. Worked on an odd number of sts, the pattern creates a tiny checkerboard effect, called Salt & Pepper. Worked on an even number of stitches, you get narrow 1-stitch wide stripes. The mitten will be made from the cuff up on double-pointed needles. Techniques covered in class include how to knit with and carry 2 yarns at the same time, and increasing and decreasing to maintain the colorwork pattern. If you've never used double-pointed needles before, a mitten is good first project.
